Valet and laundry teams from The Landmark London and the Royal Lancaster London have completed a bespoke Hospitality Laundry &Valet Workshop at Wavepoint Group's Feltham showroom.

The challenge

Staff uniforms are one of the most visible parts of any hotel's image, and keeping them looking immaculate, shift after shift, is a daily job for housekeeping and valet teams. On top of that, guests expect their own garments returned in perfect condition, whether it's a silk dress, a tailored suit or a delicate knit. Laundry processes, particularly wet cleaning, keep improving, so keeping teams up to date with best practice makes a real difference.

The workshop

Led by Michael J Michael, Wavepoint's Master Lagoon Advanced Care Trainer, the course
brought hotel teams up to date with the latest best practice across the full garment care
process:

● Understanding textiles
● Wet cleaning with Electrolux Lagoon Advanced Care
● Spotting and stain removal
● Garment finishing and pressing

The day was built around practical, hands-on sessions using Electrolux Professional and Pony equipment in Wavepoint's training facility. Each attendee received a certificate on completion.

The result

The teams returned to their hotels with up-to-date skills to keep staff uniforms looking their
best and to handle a wider range of guest garments in-house, to a consistently high
standard.
