Coventry-based Brightly Dry Cleaners is the latest in a long line of dry cleaning businesses to move away from traditional, solvent-based dry cleaning machines, to embrace the competitive edge delivered by a state-of-the-art and environmentally-friendly Wet Cleaning system.
According to Wavepoint Group Managing Director, Jason Alexander, “dry cleaners are extremely reluctant to pack in their reliable, long-standing dry cleaning machine for what seems a fairly new cleaning technique that they’re not totally convinced by”. Brightly Dry Cleaners very much fitted into that category, but were swayed by the system’s ability to process more loads per day, its eco-friendly credentials, ease-of-use and the plethora of garments it’s able to process, including wools, lace, linen and chiffon.
Complementing their new eco-friendly, solvent-free cleaning system, Brightly Dry Cleaners completed their new laundry set-up with Pony’s range of best-in-class finishing equipment, which included a Formplus Jacket Former and MPT-D Trouser Former. Both machines boast the perfect tensioning balance, ensuring a beautifully-finished garment every time
Following the installation, Michael J Michael, Wavepoint Group Technical Sales Manager and Master Lagooner, ran a complimentary 3-day training session to ensure staff were comfortable with operating the new equipment.
Michael, who led the installation, said: “Brightly Dry Cleaners made it clear that their new system mustn’t compromise on cleaning quality. They were astonished by the results of the Wet Cleaning demonstration we held – it cleaned the garments beautifully and unlike their old dry cleaning machine, didn’t have a chemically smell when removed from the drum. Plus, they’re able to advertise their business as eco-friendly, which is fantastic.”
