In a sector where productivity, consistency and energy efficiency directly affect margins, finishing equipment can no longer afford to stand still, says Wavepoint managing director Jason Alexander.

“For 2026, Pony has made a clear statement of intent, unveiling two major innovations that set a new benchmark in professional shirt finishing: Angel 3.0 and DB Premium. “Rather than incremental upgrades, these launches reflect a deeper re-engineering philosophy focused on smarter airflow, improved ergonomics and digital control – all designed to help commercial laundries work faster, more comfortably and more sustainably,” says Alexander.

Re-engineering a proven performer means Angel 3.0 builds on Pony’s long-established single-buck shirt finisher, but this is far more than a refresh. The machine has been redesigned from the ground up to optimise garment handling, operator workflow and finishing quality. Newly shaped ironing plates with a larger surface area deliver cleaner results along body seams while reducing overall cycle times. Updated Slim and Standard dummies improve suction and shirt positioning, making loading quicker and more precise.

Ergonomics have also been carefully considered: an enhanced front trolley with extended cylinder stroke gives operators full access to the dummy, reducing unnecessary movement and fatigue over long shifts. Performance has been boosted with a more powerful 3 HP blowing fan, ensuring consistent hot-air distribution across the garment. Energy efficiency is addressed through Pony’s HARS (Hot Air Recovery System) – hood, which increases suction area, improves heat containment and integrates LED lighting for better visibility.

A 7” next-generation touch-screen interface powered by Pony Touch Logic provides intuitive control, diagnostics and productivity monitoring, while Pony Cloud connectivity enables remote configuration and support. With a throughput of up to 70 shirts per hour, Angel 3.0 is engineered for operations looking to raise efficiency without sacrificing finish quality. Innovations to DB Premium mean high-volume finishing without compromise, says Wavepoint.

For high-output laundries, DB Premium represents the pinnacle of Pony’s engineering. This double-buck finisher can handle up to 120 shirts per hour, combining speed with exceptional consistency. Larger, Teflon-coated ironing plates and a redesigned pressing system improve seam finishing while shortening cycles.

Advanced dummies with enhanced suction allow faster, more accurate garment placement, supported by a new pneumatic rotation system that replaces traditional electric mechanisms for greater reliability and precision. Energy efficiency and operator comfort remain central. A 3 HP fan delivers increased hot-air volume, electrically heated placket presses and a redesigned steam-heated shoulder press improve thermal efficiency and the HARS hood minimises heat loss and noise emissions.

Compact dimensions and two-hand safety controls make DB Premium both operator-friendly and production-ready. Both machines support an extended size range up to 4XL and handle a wide variety of garments, from men’s and women’s shirts to polo shirts, chef jackets and healthcare uniforms.

Together, Angel 3.0 and DB Premium underline Pony’s commitment to future-focused finishing technology. “To explore how these best-in-class, energy-efficient finishing solutions could transform your operation, speak to Wavepoint Group and take the next step towards smarter, more productive shirt finishing,” says Alexander.
