New shop Installation
Being new to the laundry and dry cleaning industry was not daunting for Jayne Finnis and Helen Weightman as they considered a new business venture. After the closure of a high street chain around 1 year ago they recognised that a dry cleaning service was missing from their local high street.
“Being new to the industry we really wanted to work with a company that would support us through the whole process. Right from the start we felt that Wavepoint Group was a professional company and the right company for us. We also decided to employ the talents of a very experienced member of staff that came with over 27 years of dry cleaning knowledge. We did a lot of research into processes and decided that the wet cleaning route might be the better option. We visited a working Wetcare shop supplied by Wavepoint Group in the midlands, to see and test the Wetcare system and we were all very impressed, including our employee who had long been used to a Perc system. After the visit we were sold on the system and also felt that with the current changes happening in Europe that we wanted to future proof our business. Using a greener alternative was really appealing.”
“Our shop is very central to the town and the first few weeks have been really successful with very little promotional work currently. Customers and passing trade have really embraced the idea of the Wetcare system and have been impressed with the finished garments. We have point of sale leaflets to help educate our customers, but to be honest they have been very open to the idea. We will be launching a new website and social media pages soon as part of our marketing strategy.”
“The support we have had from Wavepoint Group has been amazing. The team are just fantastic and have been able to point us in the right direction for every aspect of the business from equipment to giving us contacts for sundry suppliers. We had on-site training which was so beneficial and we know that the after sales team is just at the end of the phone should we ever need them.”
Andrew Lambert – Business Development Director – Wavepoint Group Plc says “Fresh Cotton Clean is a textbook example of the 360 degree service we offer our customers. From the initial enquiry via our website through to the meetings, quotes, drawings, delivery and installation, it has been a pleasure to work with Jayne and Helen to make their dreams a reality. The whole project included the installation of a Miele 20kg PW6207MS2 Washer, Miele 25kg PT8507 Dryer, Pony Formplus-S jacket former, Pony Jolly spotting table, Pony Genus SV vacuum/blow/ steam ironing table and a Pony GE25 18kw boiler with Feed and Condense return tank. We were also able to offer them valuable onsite training as well as comprehensive after sales support.”
